National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day

We want to thank all our members and all Law Enforcement Officers! It's a challenging job but someone has to do it! We appreciate all the you and PLEASE BE SAFE!!

14th Annual Crab Feed CANCELED

We have been thinking quite a bit over the last couple of days about how we would deal with the Coronavirus or Covid-19. Here is what we have come up. First and foremost, our biggest concern is you. We have a number of event goers who are senior citizens. We have people who bring their babies and small children. We would have had live music, where human contact is unavoidable. Having said that, we have decided to cancel our 14th Annul Crab Feed. We'd rather practice compassion and caution, knowing that we have your support. We love you all and we promise that we'll come out on the other end of this thing stronger, together.

Special Olympics Dash and Splash

Board Members Veronica Rojero and Amanda Le Gaux participated in the Special Olympics Dash and Splash. Together they raised over $1,000! With this money participants are able to join the Special Olympics cost free.

Southern California State Meeting

Board Members Kim Hernandez, Amanda Le Gaux and Veronica Rojero attended the Southern California State Meeting held at Desert Palms, CA. Friday night they attended a paint night fundraiser for the Coachella Valley Scholarship Fund. The following day, they attended the meeting as well as other members from other California chapter.

13th Annual Crab Feed "Sueños Scholarship"

On Saturday, April 27, 2019 our chapter will be having our 13th Annual Crab Feed! This event is in honor of four of our fallen officers and proceeds go towards our scholarship, the Sueños Program. Please get your tickets ASAP only because this event SALES OUT quickly!! Contact anyone on the flyer for more information and tickets!!

The goal of the Association is to promote equality and professionalism in law enforcement. The objectives of the organization are to create a fraternal/professional Association that provides its members and members of the community with career training; conferences and work shops to promote education and career advancement; mentoring; and a strong commitment to community service."

N.L.P.O.A. members build bridges between law enforcement and their communities while working to reduce neighborhood tensions through awareness programs and role model programs. Our philosophy regarding youth and education has reinforced the important contributions that our cultural diversity has provided this great nation. The National Latino Peace Officers Association in the largest Latino law enforcement association in the United States.

NLPOA Contra Costa County Chapter's Treasurer, Kimberly Hernandez, works at the RIchmond Police Department as a Police Records Specialist who specializes on the 290 Registrants. On October 2017, she caught a mistake overlooked for more than a decade, and a subject is now facing life in prison after being convicted of kidnapping for rape. Kim has over 30 years of experience as a Police Records Specialist at the Richmond Police Department.

12th Annual Crab Feed

Our 12th Annual Crab Feed was a success! We completely sold out!! A special shout out to all the volunteers and for those who donated towards this event because without your help we wouldn't have been a success! See you next year for our 13th Annual Crab Feed!!!

Join us at our NLPOA Contra Costa Chapter 12th Annual Crab Feed on Saturday, April 7, 2018!!

Tickets are $50 for adults and $15 for children under 10 years old. Held at Salesians High School 2851 Salesian Ave, Richmond, CA 94804. Free raffle tickets, free drink tickets and a table will be reserved for groups of 10 people. 11th Annual Crab Feed

We had our 11th Annual Crab Feed on April 16, 2017...it was a big hit!! We were able to raise money towards our scholarship program.
